Causes of red eye with full eye congestion
- Pain less red eye
- Viral conjunctivitis
- Bacterial conjunctivitis
- Dry eyes
- Contact lens wear
- Allergic conjunctivitis
- Herpes infection
- Eye lid infections
- Misdirected eye lashes
- Paralytic eye lid leading to improper closure of the eye
- Un corrected refractive error
- Exposure to chilled climate in winter or airconditioning
- Smoking, passive smoking , alcohol consumption
